At least we still have the most military satellites!

From to-day’s Washington Post

Space, like Earth below, is globalizing. And as it does, America’s long-held superiority in exploring, exploiting and commercializing “the final frontier” is slipping away, many experts believe.

I concede that I have, in the past, expressed doubts about to what extent spending money on NASA is worth-the-while; nevertheless, knowing that we manage to contribute so much of the Federal government’s income to farm subsidies, short-sighted transportation budgets, numerous other boon-doggles, and an un-Constitutional “war” in Iraq, I rather regret that we’ve failed to spend the money necessary to remain at the fore-front of space exploration and experimentation. Go America!
