Kim Jong Ill

From the Post:

North Korean leader Kim Jong Il did not appear at North Korea’s 60th-anniversary parade yesterday, lending credence to intelligence reports that he may be gravely ill after suffering a stroke.

Anyone know what sort of succession plan he really has in place? Might the death of Kim encourage a greater likelihood of reunification? Isn’t it swell that his name sets up the pun so well?

Then, of course, we have this:

SEOUL (Reuters) – North Korean leader Kim Jong-il is not ill, a top official in the secretive state was quoted as saying on Wednesday, dismissing speculation of a possible power shift in the world’s first communist dynasty.
